The Soroptimist Club of Patras, in co-organization with the Kostis Palamas Center for Culture and Olympism, honors the female artists of Patras for their long-standing contribution to culture and the arts.
The event will take place as part of the 27th FORUM on Sunday, November 24th, at the event hall of the “My Way” hotel at 10 a.m. This special event honors the female artists of Patras who, with great love and sensitivity, have offered to donate the proceeds from their artistic creations to solidarity causes, supporting and relieving primarily the vulnerable members of our community.
Honor these distinguished ladies with your presence and get to know their artistic activities—a small recognition of their loving contribution to their work.
The Fine Arts Association and the Kostis Palamas Center for Culture and Olympism have offered to prepare their biographies and present them, as a mark of honor, with the important commemorative book by the author and President of the well-known and respected Association, Dr. Theodoros Mallias, entitled “Artists Create Culture.”
This commemorative book includes a significant section presenting the artists’ works, accompanied by the poetic works of Kostis Palamas, so that the art lover can simultaneously be a viewer and a reader of his poems.
At the event, art historian Mrs. Georgousi will speak on the topic: “Art in Transitional Times,” while the event will be coordinated by the President of the Young Artists of Patras, Effie Analytis, and the presentation of the artists will be handled by journalist and Public Relations Manager of Patrinorama, Eftychia Lampropoulou.
